Was a little outside the old town of Alghero but no issue if u like walking (15 mins at a stroll) as view on way in is to die for. But they offer a shuttle most of the day with the last return being at 11.30am. The inside has been refurbished to a great standard with an excellent pool and small private beach both of which had a lifeguard all day. They also upgraded us to a sea view room on arrival. Our booking included breakfast and what a breakfast an absolute abundance of choice.

The walled town of Alghero on Sardinia’s west coast has an altogether more down-to-earth vibe than the more exclusive Emerald Coast on the opposite side of the island. In fact, it feels more Catalan than Italian.
The seafront walls and defensive towers surrounding the historic centre were actually built by the Catalans in the 16th century, and many residents still speak a dialect from that era. However, Sardinia has been inhabited since prehistoric times, and the Nuraghe di Palmavera stone dwellings outside the town are evidence of this. Another nuraghic site is Anghelu Ruju, near Alghero Fertilia Airport.
South of the airport is sandy Maria Pia Beach which continues all the way to Alghero harbour and is lined with beachfront hotels, bars and restaurants offering tasty seafood, including local lobster. Boat trips leave the harbour to Neptune’s Grotto along the coast. Next door is Nereo Cave, supposedly the largest Mediterranean sea cave and a popular diving spot.
Also worth visiting are the pedestrian streets of the old town, packed with shops and pavement cafés. Also here are 16th-century Palazzo d’Albis and the cathedral with its mixed architectural styles.
The Alghero accommodation on Booking.com includes 5-star hotels with pools, cheap B&Bs and apartments with parking.

Well worth a visit, Beautiful old town with mazing little restaurants and coffee/gelato stops , Fabulous boat trips. Very friendly city and all the locals were most welcoming and friendly. Will certainly be back.
Only negatives would be the taxis ( avoid if possible) I like to get a taxi to aiprport when Im leaving a city so that there are no hiccups / delays . However in the end I took the bus for €1.50. One taxi driver was looking for €40 and insisted I called him rather than the company he worked for.
Avoid main restaurants in the old city. Most are over-priced and from what I could make out most are run by the same person. But its hard not to fall in love with this amazing city

Really liked Alghero .
Really liked Alghero . The quaint old narrow streets in the town . The long prom walk . The port. The old buildings. People very friendly apart from the guy in the tourist office who was arrogant and rude. We could not get into some of the Churches as there was work going on.

Alghero is a lovely place to visit with its historical old town of a maze of pretty cobbled streets consisting of multiple restaurants, shops and wine bars. Lovely marina where you can take boat trips from. Lots of nice restaurants outside of the old town, would recommend Rafel restaurant and bar situated on the beach for that special dining experience.

Fabulous place which exceeded our expectations.
Fabulous place which exceeded our expectations. Safe, plenty to do and lots of good places to eat. I would recommend hiring a car. We did from 'Casual Van'. It was great to see the surrounding coast. Really stunning scenery. Would recommend Regina Margherita and La Bottega for meals and Jo'pier. We got to and from the airport by taxi which we pre booked.

Lovely, charming, walkable little city that makes you feel like you're on holiday but it doesn't feel like a tourist toytown. We were there in mid October so it may well be much busier in the summer, but it was not at all crowded and was one of loveliest holidays we've had. Good food, everything is walkable, excellent city and a boat trip to the grottos.
• Self check great solution should be standard, happy to see the beginnings of it. In my opinion in the message to the customer it is unnecessary to explain why it is so, especially information about the law in Sardinia if you really need to put this information is better to do it at the end of the text because probably few care about it on vacation.:)
In the text to the customer the most important informations are:
- How to get to the building
- Contact to the owner
The text should be divided by paragraphs!
• Good-tasting teas.
The apartment was very spacious and welcoming. The decor gave you a feel that were right on the beach even though you were a block away. The host had more than enough supplies to get you through the first couple of nights which is very thoughtful, as some properties barely give you the minimum. I would definitely recommend this property if staying in Alghero.
I spent 14 nights in Alghero with my family (2kids). Casa Lido is very nice apartment close to the beach and city center. There are 2 supermarkets in the neighborhood. Perfect parking possibility enabled us to have easy departure/arrival with car when we visited other beaches around north-west part of Sardinia.
Gemma's home was amazing. The loft was spacious, her breakfasts were delicious, and the location was perfect. The B&B is walking distance to both Lido Beach, Maria Pia Beach and Alghero old town. Staying with Gemma felt like staying with family! I definitely hope to be back in the future.
Don't hesitate to stay here! Without doubt the BEST room we had on our 14 days trip around Sardinia, and at the same time the cheapest! The room is completely new with high quality materials and super clean. The matress is extremely comfortable and the sheets are soft. Highly recommend!!
Loved everything about this property. It was such an amazing place and in the heart of Alghero! Everything so close and the staff go out of their way to make sure you experience everything, with suggestions on the best places to see and best grocery stores and food.
Francesco suggested me the best bar in Alghero. I had wonderful time. Room is clean, big enough even for 2 ppl, supplies 2 sets of towels for 2 nights,a hair dryer & amenities (which was a happy surprise I didn’t expect there would be)..
Just awesome. Grazie mille!
The best and cleanest apartment in Alghero. After our flight was canceled we got lucky to rent this apartment with very nice Seaview, nice decorated and equiped with everything you need to feel like home. For real, the apartment looks much pretty than the photos.
As I wished for this vacation - swimming in the sea, no nervous about my belongings. Quite big room with balkony, where the sea was to see, hear and smell. Breakfast with a lot possibilities of choise. I found Sardinia much more peaceful then the rest of Italy.
It was a lovely clean property within walking distance of the best of Alghero. The breakfast was good. The air con was excellent. The bathroom facilities (shared) were perfect. The host was a most welcoming and passionate about the beauty of Sardinia
Great hosts for a great apartment. All amenities, good WIFI, a bottle of Sardinian wine at the check in, all the best experience. Apartment has a fresh feel to it. Location is not very central, but walking distance (10 mins) to all attractions.
New rooms, very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Great location very close to city center, bus terminal and beaches. Checking-in for hostel is in the Hotel Catalunya which is about 500m walk right next to the bus terminal and airport bus.
Villa Mosca is perched on a hill right within walking distance of the beautiful ancient and bustling town of Alghero. It has a beautiful view of the Sardinian sea and a nice breeze even on hot days. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
Fabulous room with first class amenities. Perfect location next to the old town center. Martina and the staff were fabulous and went the extra mile to ensure we had the best time and even helped us with recommendations across Sardinia.
Fabulous room . Bed was so comfortable. The best bed in Sardinia. Location was perfect and lots of Parking around the apartment. Close to everything but very quietnoth. Sonia is really lovely and speaks good English. Easy check in.
Sardinia is beautiful, but we found a Sardinian treasure in Alghero bicicletta.
Amazing married couple. Empathetic, helpful, friendly, regardful, educated ...
We will never forget the time we spend with them.
This a very well located hotel in the middle of the older part of Alghero.
The rooms are clean, furniture a little bit outdated, but the breakfast is just marvellous.
Exceptional location in the old town. Easy access to shops and restaurants, city beaches, transportation to any part of Sardinia. Very helpful and friendly staff.
